Las grutas de Loltún!

Today is Friday so you know what that means? EXCURSIONS! Today we were off to Loltún to explore the grutas.

Lily is officially the cutest kid on the place of the planet. I love her! She loves sitting on my lap on the bus rides and taking pictures. Here's my favourite one from today =)

Creeper sitting in front of us!

Two (or three) can play that game too...

Entrance to the grutas! Grutas are basically just caves but they're below the Earth. So kind of like dry cenotes I guess? Well, mostly just like grutas. haha

Inside the grutas!

All of the walls and ceilings were lines with stalactites and it was gorgeous.

There was a huge tunnel that we followed the whole way. Around every corner was something beautiful!

We had a guide that took us through the tunnels and so here we all are learning!

Welcome!

Ry and I!

Attempt at some cool posed pictures.... Attempt. haha

Climbin' through the caves!

Captured.

Next we went to these musical pillars! They were sweet! Apparently if you hit them with your fist than it should make an echoing sound. If you don't hear anything though then it means that you're not a virgin haha.

Laurita trying them out! Yupp she's a virgin (according to the sounds) haha

Bradley is always drumming on things so he loved these!

Virgin. Check.

Camera tricks!

Luckily there were lights the whole way... but at one part Ryan and I were off exploring a little bit and we didn't realize that the group had moved on already and so all of the lights around us turned off! There is no natural light down there at all and so it was pretty scary but we followed the noise and eventually found the light!

Lali and Brookie =)

Don't know what this is, but I love it!

Yay for climbing through caves!

Roomie pic! Who's scared of the dark? Not us!

And at last I see the light!

Cutie little baby model =)

Laura, Laura, Caitlin, Kaitlin, Ryan, Ryan pic! Too bad the person who took it can't really take pictures =( We were anticipating this pic forever! What are the chances that in a group of 27 that there would be three sets of twinner names?
Besties!

Sorry that there wasn't too much writing on this one and a ton of pictures. But, the pictures say a thousand words each and so I hope you got to feel a little bit of what I saw! It was a beautiful little adventure. It's amazing how beautiful God created this earth! He even put beauty below the ground. I want to travel the world now not only to visit cool places/experience new cultures, but to see how much beauty is out there waiting to be discovered!
