Today our mama told us that we needed to go down to centro because all of the streets were closed to traffic and were lined with shops instead. So, Caitlin and I headed down there to check it out. I'm so glad we went! Merida isn't a huge touristy place and so it's usually pretty hard to find souvenirs, you really have to look for them. But today we saw so many things that we've never seen before. We stopped at all the shops and we each ended up spending over $100. It was so worth it though, we got presents for all our friends and a few things for ourselves too. The best part was that Caitlin actually made it through the whole day ;) She hates shopping but these little shops were way too cute, even she couldn't resist them!

Bachelorette anyone?
We met this guy that plays for the Atlas... must be legit if it's on a Mexican foosball table!
We love walking around together and talking to new people.. it's all about the gringa smile ;)
She bought these flutes for her nieces and nephews, they'll love them!
They were also having a protest downtown against the corrupt government system... we probably should have stayed away but we couldn't help but to check out what was going on.
Collecting signatures to petition against the invalid election!
We also saw a guy holding a flag and passing out propaganda so of course we asked him if we could hold it for a picture =)
Then Caitlin and I were just sitting eating quesadillas and this protest broke out!
Mexican protests!
Today was definitely a successful shopping day! On the bus ride home we saw some very interesting signs too.... Tacolist.com (like KSL.com or craigslist). The perfect place to list your ads of carros (cars), casas (houses), and love (amor <3) haha.
This one is deceiving... obviously the first thing everyone notices is "Sexo Gratis" haha. I don't think that translation is necessary for this one.
Proof of a good shopping day =)
Good day! I just wanted to say the fact that you truly have customized a cool domain. Also I wanted to ask you one thing that I am interested of. Have you ever participated in any blogging competitions?
