Service, Smiles, and Sweeping

Today we had the opportunity to do some service. Taylor and a few others in our group organized it for us and it was a great experience. We went to a shelter that is run by nuns and it's open to families who currently have loved ones in the hospital. The people are able to live here until their family members get better and the people can stay there for anywhere from one day to one year. There was a great feel about this place. Everyone was happy even though they all have something to be sad about. I am glad that we were able to help out a little bit today and bring smiles to their faces!

The nun giving us instructions... We all were assigned a job for the evening.

Rachel and Lyndy set the tables.

Caitlin, Natalie, and Jackie cooked dinner.

Tom, Brad, and Ty ... mopped? Haha

Ryan and Aaron played with the kids.

 Brooke sang.

And Cody, Taylor, Will, Laura, Marie, and I swept.

We swept the roof! Chim chim cheree!

 ... And the hallways.

And then once we finished all our chores we got to play with the kids. These two cuties, Abigail and Flor, were so fun. They LOVED to take pictures and play. They also loved piggy back rides (especially when they were both on my back at the same time) haha. I loved them so much!

Eeyore is her favourite Disney character... same as me!

 Silly girlies.

"I love you"
