Universidad Modelo

I was talking with my dad the other day and telling him about all the cool things that we've been doing and he doesn't believe that I actually go to school here. So for anyone who was wondering, I have been going to classes! Here's the rundown of a typical day here...

6:00 am - Wake up and get ready for school
6:30 am - We always have a huge, delicious breakfast of either eggs, oatmeal, french toast, or pancakes with a bowl of fresh fruit and a cup of homemade squeezed juice!
6:45 am - Papa drives us to school! (two days a week we have to take the bus instead though, so we leave earlier since it takes an hour on the bus)
7:00 am - Classes start. We usually have two classes a day.
11:30 am - School finishes. We usually get on the bus and go back home and relax a bit before lunch. Usually we have a siesta or talk with our families during this time.
2:00 - 3:30 pm - Lunch. It's always DELICIOUS! And usually it's huge, full on with a side, main meal, and dessert. The whole family eats together and then after we finish we have "sobremesa" which is where we just walk about our days, learn new words, and get to know our family better.

Then for the rest of the day we always do different things. Our favourite things to do are to go to centro, the beach, swimming, or shopping! We usually go out every day and find something fun to do... every day is an adventure here! Then at about 8:30 pm every day we have dinner, then do our homework, shower, catch up on pictures/blog. Caitlin and I always love to chat for a couple hours every night too so it's just a good time to wind down. Then at about midnight we finally get to bed, super exhausted but excited for tomorrow!

 Universidad Modelo this way!

Caitlin and Ethan love to match! Please note every part of this outfit, even their sandals! ... Except Ethan's shorts are shorter I think.

Ryan and I are twinners too! Isn't it crazy how well we matched today? I promise we didn't just pick those flowers... we definitely both showed up like that. Not planned at all ;)

Us in our Spanish 205 class. Tyler broke his backpack and so he's been carrying around this super girly purse/bag thing. We always make fun of him. lol

Venga la lluvia! It rained like crazy again today!

Today after school guess who randomly shows up? Daniel (aka creepy guy from institute)! But he gave  us a ride home in our favourite travel method so whaterr haha.

We only get in the truck if there are at least 15 other people in it!
